Travel Lecture Yew Char, tour director for Char's Tour and Travel Service, will present a free public travel talk tomorrow night at the Waikiki-Kapahulu Library auditorium. Char, recently returned from a trip of the Far East, will show color films of Japan, Formosa, Hong Kong, Macao, Bangkok, Penang, Singapore and the Philippines. The program will begin at 7:30 p.m.(2)
Yew Char Exhibits Films in Arizona Yew Char, island cameraman and tour conductor, writes glowingly of his reception on the mainland where he is showing Hawaii to the would-be tourists. At Tucson, Ariz., late in January, Yew Char spoke and unrolled island film to a standing room only crowd, one of the largest ever to gather in the University of Arizona auditorium. The newsman covering the gathering was Brian Storm, for none years a resident of the territory. From Tucson, Yew Char planned to lecture in Pomona, Calif., appearing before the Adult Education Forum.(3)
