In 1976, when Yew Char was in his 80's, a granddaughter, Beverly Chan, wrote a short, but none-the-less revealing biography of Grandpa Char for a college class at SUNY Stonybrook. The biography, recently uncovered in a review of some of Bev's stored papers fills in certain family names and details that haven't been found in the newspaper articles found so far.
